Our hand-woven Bolga basket bag is a very functional, stunning piece of art. It is the perfect grocery shopping basket or fashion bag. Its’s capacity and usefulness will quickly make it your companion. These bags have strong leather handles making them very comfortable and convenient.
‘Adanfo’ simply means companion or friend in the Akan or Twi dialect from Ghana. Artisans from a village in Bolgatanga, Ghana, West Africa make all our baskets for us. Each basket is unique and has a touch of the artisan’s style.
Our partner artisan weavers make all our baskets products from elephant grass also known as the Napier grass. This grass is native to the African grasslands. It is common in the southern parts of Ghana. It has a low water and nutrient requirement making it easy to cultivate for weaving our products.
